Songtaneous Sings are a fun, inventive and easy way to sing with others. Once a month, creative people of all ages gather online to share their voices and their selves while making beautiful, in-the-moment music. We’ll meet online for our November Session. No previous experience necessary.

NOTE: Version of Zoom 5.2.3 and higher have improved audio options (for laptop and computer users). Find instructions for how to update Zoom and adjust your audio settings here.

If you have yet to attend a Zoom event, you can join from your computer or smart phone. If you’re using your smart phone or tablet, you will need to install the Zoom app in advance. If you connect from your computer, the program will download automatically. If you want to call in from a regular phone, get in touch and I’ll send you the call-in details.

Speaking of Zoom …

I am sharing share some tips that should improve the sound quality for everyone. (These are from my experiences teaching singing online.)

– Please wear (wired) headphones if you have them. Feedback and distortion can happen when your device amplifies through its microphone the sound coming out of its speakers. You can’t hear this effect, but the rest of us can. Headphones solve this problem.

– At times, I will ask you to mute your mic during group singing. Note: The group is usually small enough so that we won’t have to be muted throughout. 🙂

– If possible, join from a computer or laptop with a high-speed internet connection. An ethernet cable running directly from the modem offers the best sound/video. If you’re using wifi, set up near your modem where the signal is strongest. If your internet becomes unstable during our session, try turning off your video until the signal improves.
