Singing Lessons for Inviduals and Groups, ages 8 to 108.
My studio is in south Minneapolis. Voice lessons are 30 or 50 minutes and are typically scheduled Monday thru Thursday.
Regular lessons are the best way to learn to sing. Because consistent study and practice are crucial to exploring and developing your voice, I ask new students to enroll in a 10-lesson series. Incoming students commit to a minimum of one lesson a month. After completing a 10-lesson series, continuing students can keep studying in 4-lesson blocks.
How do we get started?
To begin, email sg@sarahmgreer.com or call me at 608-338-6840 to schedule a time for an introductory lesson ($25).
During this lesson, you will talk about what you want to learn and where (or if) you have sung in the past. (Don't worry I have questions to get us started. *smile* ~sg)
Next, we'll do a bit of singing and I will outline my plan for our lessons together. I will also use this time to answer your questions about singing, voice lessons or studying with me.
If you enjoy working with me and want to continue, you will purchase one of my lesson packages and your first lesson fee ($25) will be credited toward the cost of your plan.
If we decide it is not a fit, there is no obligation and you keep the first lesson materials, including the vocal warmup CD.
What would we do in lessons?
- Learn and practice vocal warmups and exercises to develop vocal technique and improve breath control
- Talk about the differences between singing and speaking (diction)
- Personalize the songs you sing
- Explore vocal (jazz) improvisation
- Learn to read music and study music theory
- Cover chart writing basics
- Practice microphone technique
- Study a method for sight reading
- Discuss vocal health, vocal anatomy and caring for the voice

30-minute biweekly plan (10 lessons): $375
30-minute monthly lessons (4 lessons): $175
30-minute Voice Lesson Plans for Continuing Students
30-minute weekly lessons (4 lessons): $125
30-minute biweekly plan (4 lessons): $150
50-minute Voice Lesson Plans for Incoming Students
50-minute weekly plan (10 lessons): $550
50-minute biweekly plan (10 lessons): $625
50-minute monthly plan (4 lessons): $300

Tuition is prepaid with cash, check, or online through PayPal.
For students enrolling in any of the 10-lesson plans, a 10% discount is available for those who pay in full prior to or at the first lesson. For students who cannot afford to pay in full, payment terms are negotiable.
For continuing students enrolling in any of the 4-lesson plans, a 5% discount is available for those who pay in full prior to/at first lesson.
*Single lessons may be available at a per lesson rate for those students who cannot to commit to a 4- or 10-lesson plan.
When Can We Start?
New students are admitted to the studio throughout the year provided there are openings. Sarah IS currently accepting voice students.Get in touch to schedule your introductory lesson.
